There are few golf venues in the world that enjoy a setting as majestic and spectacular as Kananaskis Country Golf Course. Kananaskis boasts two separate and distinct championship courses surrounded by rugged mountains towering 3,000 m (10,000 ft) above sea level; the courses themselves at almost 1,500 m (5,000 ft). World-renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. personally chose the site and gave the courses the ability to deliver a truly unforgettable golf experience. Trent Jones described Kananaskis as, "the best natural setting I've been given to work with."
The two courses-Mount Lorette and Mount Kidd-are named after two of the towering limestone peaks that serve as their backdrop.
Mount Lorette Course
Mount Lorette, the "water course," is the flatter of the two courses with the fast-flowing Kananaskis River, glacier fed streams and crystal clear ponds coming into play on 13 of the 18 holes. Also considered the tighter of the two courses, Mt. Lorette will challenge both one's club selection and ability to focus on the game versus the scenery.

Mount Kidd Course
Mount Kidd, the "sand course," is equally as stunning and arguably more forgiving than Mt. Lorette. Off the tee, Mt. Kidd plays slightly easier and errant shots are less likely to be punished. Kidd also offers a number of elevated tees presenting breathtaking panoramas.
